Entertainment & Night Club Noise Surveys

Entertainment & Night Club Noise Surveys - What You Need To Know

Entertainment noise and nightclub noise surveying measures whether the noise levels in a venue comply with regulations. Noise surveys must be conducted for all venues which play live or recorded music; including restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs. Additionally, they are also required if hosting live dramatic or dance performances.

These regulations are set out by Control of Noise at Work standards to protect people from excessive noise in the workplace. Furthermore, they also limit the noise disruption to nearby residents.

Usually you will carry out an entertainment noise survey as part of the design process for a new building. However, if your venue was once used for a different purpose, you will need to carry out entertainment and nightclub noise surveying.

Entertainment Noise Surveys With UKBC

An entertainment noise survey will simultaneously investigate all possible noise sources. For example, these could include noise related to transport, building services, music or people. Furthermore, we break down the data into a timeline to measure the potential daytime and nighttime average noise levels. Consequently, this allows us to better understand the acoustic footprint of the venue. UKBC’s service includes:
  • Fully trained engineers with extensive experience in the field.
  • Accurate, thorough testing methods. These include mounting noise dosimeters on personnel who carry out noise intensive tasks and multi-meter set ups to help determine the specification of your glazing.
  • We’ll produce a noise assessment report which is robust, concise and proves that you meet the requirements set.
  • Specifically tailored commercial and industrial noise and vibration surveys to suit your project, budget and requirements of the local authority.
