Local authority’s generally require a SAP or SBEM assessment before granting planning permission to a building. It is now becoming more common for them to also ask for Energy Statements to be provided as well.
Energy Statements show a variety of different factors and are tailored to meet the requirements of each local authority. There is currently no standard format for these statements, so we’ll liaise with your local council and discuss what’s required. We do this to ensure your planning application has the best chance of being reviewed successfully.
When we’ve carried out your Energy Statement you will receive a detailed statement. This outlines the different considerations made towards renewable energy in your home and how much they will reduce carbon emissions by.
