Air Pressure Testing
Air Pressure Testing (also known as air tightness, air leakage or air permeability testing) is simply a test that measures the air leakage within a property through gaps, cracks and holes within the thermal envelope.
Under building regulations Part L1A (new dwellings) & L2A (new buildings other than dwellings) a minimum standard for air tightness is stipulated for all new properties hence the need for an air pressure test and air pressure test certificate.
Building Control will not provide a completion certificate without the necessary Air Testing results and report.
